Ninho Saloio
Local Accommodation
Welcome to Ninho Saloio
Where is it located?
Ninho Saloio is located in Venda do Pinheiro, a village in the municipality of Mafra, 25 minutes from Lisbon and Ericeira. If you want to extend your route, Sintra is 40 minutes away, as is Óbidos.
How did it come about?
The owners rebuilt the family home that gives way to the current local accommodation, respecting the original design, characteristic of the Saloia area. The design and decoration are the result of a perfect symbiosis between the modern and the old, always respecting tourist authenticity and regional characteristics.
Your nest away from home
What does it offer?
In addition to overnight accommodation, guests can enjoy the breakfast service and all the outdoor space: lake (where you can cool off), garden, vegetable patch and farm animals. Parking is private and free, but subject to availability. With its excellent decoration and very welcoming garden, Ninho Saloio is the perfect place to start your wedding day. We receive many brides and grooms, who get ready in the room, receive their guests and take photos (indoors and outdoors), then leave for the church/farm. We also have a WEDDING NIGHT PROGRAM.
Ninho Saloio is not a hotel, it's a house!
How does it work?
We don't have a 24-hour reception, so you should contact reception to arrange your arrival time at the accommodation.
Ideally, in-person check-in should take place between 2pm and 8pm; if this is not possible, we will send you the information to access the accommodation without going through reception. It's very simple and practical and you can check in late without any problems, as long as you contact reception beforehand.
Check out must take place by 11am.

History, Gastronomy & Nature
Ninho Saloio is located in the village of Venda do Pinheiro (municipality of Mafra), 20 minutes from Lisbon and Ericeira. As part of tourism in the West (which has been booming over the last decade), you can enjoy experiences in the areas of gastronomy, culture, architecture, nature and sport. In terms of gastronomy, we would highlight the Cabana do Peixe restaurant (around 600m from Ninho Saloio, famous for its numerous fish cataplanas and fresh fish from the coast of Ericeira and/or Peniche). Also worth mentioning are the wonderful 'Trouxa da Malveira' and the famous Mafra bread. On the cultural and architectural side, we highlight the Palace and Convent of Mafra flanked by the leafy Tapada. For contact with nature and sport, we highlight Ericeira, a world surfing reserve.
